【摘要】:Theparticlesizeofpowderedactivatedcarbonissometimesusedtoevaluatefiltercakefiltrationratesandthefilterpenetrationinfilteringapplications.Theselectionandhandlingofpowderedactivatedcarbon,andoperationofprocessesusingpowderedactivatedcarbon,requirestheknowledgeoftheparticlesize.Note18212;Relativehumidity(RH)canaffecttherepeatabilityandaccuracyofthistest.ActivatedcarbonnotatequilibriumwiththeRHoftheambientairmayloseorgainweightaccordingly,dependentuponwhetherornotthecarbonpicksuporlosesmoisture.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheparticlesizeofpowderedactivatedcarbonsusinganair-jetsievedevice.Forpurposesofthistestmethod,powderedactivatedcarbonisdefinedasactivatedcarboninparticlesizespredominantlysmallerthan80mesh.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:AnOP/FT-IRmonitorcan,inprinciple,measuretheconcentrationsofallIR-activegasesandvaporsintheatmosphere.DetaileddescriptionsofOP/FT-IRsystemsandthefundamentalaspectsoftheiroperationaregiveninGuideE1865andtheFT-IROpen-PathMonitoringGuidanceDocument.AmethodforprocessingOP/FT-IRdatatoobtaintheconcentrationsofgasesoveralong,openpathisgiveninCompendiumMethodTO-16.ApplicationsofOP/FT-IRsystemsincludemonitoringforgasesandvaporsinambientair,alongtheperimeterofanindustrialfacility,athazardouswastesitesandlandfills,inresponsetoaccidentalchemicalspillsorreleases,andinworkplaceenvironments.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforusingactiveopen-pathFouriertransforminfrared(OP/FT-IR)monitorstomeasuretheconcentrationsofgasesandvaporsinair.Proceduresforchoosingtheinstrumentalparameters,initiallyoperatingtheinstrument,addressinglogisticalconcerns,makingancillarymeasurements,selectingthemonitoringpath,acquiringdata,analyzingthedata,andperformingqualitycontrolonthedataaregiven.BecausethelogisticsanddataqualityobjectivesofeachOP/FT-IRmonitoringprogramwillbeunique,standardizedproceduresformeasuringtheconcentrationsofspecificgasesarenotexplicitlysetforthinthispractice.Instead,generalproceduresthatareapplicabletoallIR-activegasesandvaporsaredescribed.TheseprocedurescanbeusedtodevelopstandardoperatingproceduresforspecificOP/FT-IRmonitoringapplications.1.2Thispracticedoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthispracticetoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
