【摘要】:Thisguidecanbeusedbycodeofficials,architects,andotherinterestedpartiestoevaluatethedesignandconstructionofmasonryheaters.Itisnotrestrictedtoaspecificmethodofconstruction,nordoesitprovideallspecificdetailsofconstructionofamasonryheater.Thisguidedoesprovidetheprinciplestobefollowedforthesafeconstructionofmasonryheaters.Thisguideisnotintendedasacompletesetofdirectionsforconstructionofmasonryheaters.Constructionofmasonryheatersiscomplex,andinordertoensuretheirsafetyandperformance,constructionshallbedonebyorunderthesupervisionofaskilledandexperiencedmasonryheaterbuilder.41.1Thisguidecoversthedesignandconstructionofsolidfuelburningmasonryheaters.Itprovidesdimensionsforsiteconstructedmasonryheatercomponentsandclearancesthathavebeenderivedbyexperienceandfoundtobeconsistentwiththesafeinstallationofthosemasonryheaters.1.2ValuesgiveninSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Inch/poundunitsmayberounded(seeIEEE/ASTMSI-10).Alldimensionsarenominalunlessspecificallystatedotherwise.Allclearanceslistedinthisguideareactualdimensions.1.3Thisguideappliestothedesignandconstructionofmasonryheatersbuilton-sitewiththecomponentsandmaterialsspecifiedherein.Itdoesnotapplytotheconstruction/installationrequirementsforcomponentsystemsthathavebeensafetytestedandlisted.Therequirementsforlistedmasonryheatersystemsarespecifiedinthemanufacturer'sinstallationinstructions.1.4Thedesignandconstructionofsolidfuelburningmasonryheatersshallcomplywithapplicablebuildingcodes.

【摘要】:Themethodsandproceduressetforthinthisguiderelatetotheextensionofthefireresistanceratingsobtainedfromparticularfiretestedspecimenstoconstructionsthathavenotbeentested.UsersofthisguidemusthaveknowledgeandunderstandingoftheprovisionsofTestMethodE119includingthosepertainingtoconditionsofacceptance.Inordertoapplysomeoftheprinciplesdescribedinthisguide,referencetotheoriginalfiretestreportwillbenecessary.InTestMethodE119,thespecimensaresubjectedtospecificlaboratoryfiretestexposureconditions.Substitutionofdifferenttestconditionsorchangesintheenduseconditionshavetheabilitytochangethemeasuredfire-test-responsecharacteristics.Therefore,theextensionsofdataarevalidonlyforthefiretestexposureconditionsdescribedinTestMethodE119,.1.1ThisguidecoverstheextensionoffireresistanceratingsobtainedfromfiretestsperformedinaccordancewithTestMethodE119toconstructionsthathavenotbeentested.TestMethodE119evaluatesthedurationforwhichtestspecimenswillcontainafire,retaintheirstandardintegrity,orbothduringapredeterminedtestexposure.1.2Thisguideisbasedonprinciplesinvolvingtheextensionoftestdatausingsimpleconsiderations.Theacceptanceoftheseprinciplesandtheirapplicationisbasedsubstantiallyonananalogousworstcaseproposition.1.3Theseprinciplesareonlyapplicabletotemperatureconditionsrepresentedbythestandardtime-temperaturecurvedescribedinTestMethodE119.TestMethodE119isafire-test-responsestandard.1.4Thetypesofbuildingconstructionswhicharethesubjectofthisguidearecategorizedasfollows:beams;floorandroofassemblies;columns;andwallsandpartitions.Floorandroofassembliesincludesuchassemblieswithceilingprotectivemembranes.1.5Theextensionoftestdatausingnumericalcalculationsbasedonempiricaldataortheoreticalmodelsisnotcoveredinthisguide.1.6Thisguidedoesnotcoverthesubstitutionofoneproprietarymaterialforanotherproprietarymaterial,ormaterialsforwhichfiretestdataarenotpresentlyavailable.1.7Thisguidedoesnotpurporttobecomprehensiveinitstreatmentofnon-proprietarymodificationsoftestedconstructions.Engineeringevaluationortestsarerecommendedforassessingmodificationsnotspecificallycoveredinthisguide.1.8ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.9Thisstandardisusedtodeterminecertainfire-testresponsesofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditionsbyusingresultsobtainedfromfire-test-responsestandards.Theresultsobtainedfromusingthisstandarddonotbythemselvesconstitutemeasuresoffirehazardorfirerisk.1.10Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
